Nothing says happy holidays like a new pair of Stan Smiths. Don’t worry, adidas heard the call and gave everyone what they really wanted: four new versions of the classic shoe.
The more unique debuts feature black crocodile skin textured leather on the upper, as well as black laces and gold leaf accents on the heel logo. There is also an all-white version of this style with gold leaf accents. Meanwhile, the other two versions retain the classic smooth leather upper of the OG model, but are detailed with a stunning gray-blue or dusty pink heel tab. For the blue and pink designs, the logo includes half white and half gold embroidery. The new styles are made with 50% recycled material and feature three perforated stripes.
More news on shoes
Available in men’s, women’s and children’s sizes, all four new looks will be available on adidas.com starting December 9.
The Stan Smith shoe from adidas is named after the famous tennis player of the same name, who dominated the game in the 1970s. His collaboration with adidas is one of the most successful of all time and has included dozens of versions of colors and collections over the years. Yet with its iconic rubber outsole, lace-up closures and comfortable lining, the shoe remains timeless.
Sneakers are the perfect stylish gift for anyone, but because they’re made from recycled materials, they’re especially great to give to the eco-conscious friend in your life. They are also the perfect option for people who are difficult to buy because they go well with absolutely any outfit.
So mark your calendars for December 9th and go ahead and treat yourself – or your loved ones – with that very special gift this holiday season.
