If you’re a fan of Netflix’s hit TV series “Queer Eye” (which recently won an Emmy), chances are you’re also a fan of cast members Jonathan Van Ness and Antoni Porowski. Both are known for their incredible talents on television and in real life. Van Ness, a grooming expert who owns JVN Hair, and Porowski, a food expert who owns the Village Den restaurant in New York, have undoubtedly made their mark. But did you know that in addition to hair and food, these two friends also have a passion for animals? To improve the lives of dogs and cats, the couple officially teamed up to launch a gourmet pet mix brand called Yummers.

The friends-turned-business partners both have pets and found they were talking about the needs of their own animals. “If you have animals that have different health needs, different ages, different temperaments, whatever, they just need different things, and that doesn’t necessarily come in their main diet,” Van Ness says.

Yummers offers functional blends that help with digestion, skin and coat, and your pet’s heart. The brand also offers a handful of gourmet mixes that sweeten your pet’s food. “We felt like it was an immediate need and a bigger space that could impact change, because it’s annoying to have to do such separate things for your animals if you want to. do it yourself, or having to get prescribed these probiotics,” says Van Ness. .

Beyond their love of pets, food, and hair, the two have a plethora of other interests (like products) that we were curious to find out more about. We sat down with the “Queer Eye” stars to learn all about their current must-have products — from an affordable glass water bottle that keeps Van Ness hydrated to the timeless Porowski sneakers he’s owned for years. And of course, we learned their favorite Yummers mix-ins. Keep reading to find out which must-have products these two friends are looking for the most.

The iconic Adidas Samba has been redesigned for the golf course Thu, 15 Sep 2022 14:37:30 +0000

The Adidas Samba were made famous on the football pitch, but now you can wear them on a new type of turf: the golf course.

Welcome to Give Me That, a column where we’ll highlight a notable item that we think you might like. Whether it’s an item of clothing, an intriguing electronic device, or anything in between, we want to share these articles with you because they generated quite a bit of chatter from our water cooler (or , these days, on our Slack channel). So sit back, scroll down and follow the latest golf gear on offer.

The Adidas Samba is arguably one of the brand’s most iconic shoes. They were made famous on the football pitch, but now you can wear them on a new kind of turf: the golf course. This limited-edition series is available in four understated pastel colors – crystal white, halo blue, pulsating yellow and light pink – to round out late summer in style.

On the surface, they mostly resemble the classic indoor soccer shoe. However, the original design has been redesigned specifically for golfers. The soft, 50% recycled upper has the classic Samba T-toe shape and three-stripe design and is reinforced to give you the stability you need to support a powerful swing. The studless rubber outsole further enhances this stability with its unique and versatile traction pattern.

The shoes will officially go on sale on at 11 a.m. ET today (Thursday). You can use the button below to head over there and grab a pair while supplies last.

All of our market picks are independently selected and curated by the editorial team. If you purchase a related product, GOLF.COM may earn fees. Price may vary.

How to wear a soccer jersey Sun, 11 Sep 2022 21:39:28 +0000

Football shirts have never been more in demand than today. Mainstream fashion has accepted the football jersey as one of its own, a way to show a bit of personality and look good while doing it. If you’re wondering how to wear a soccer jersey, you’ve come to the right place.

How to wear a soccer jersey

Don’t wear football shorts

It is the rule number one. If you plan to wear your shirt around town, don’t wear football shorts with it. You’ll look like you’re wearing a full kit, regardless of brand. If you want to wear shorts, try to find a pair of board shorts or joggers. Really anything that isn’t specifically football shorts and you’ll be fine.

Get your jersey

The reality is that jerseys can be expensive, but they don’t have to be. Always look for discounts and sales. Websites like SOCCER.COM are a great starting point for newer gear, but if you’re looking for more retro gear, also has a great selection. For casual use, replica jerseys get the job done and cost almost half the price while being more comfortable than their genuine counterparts.

Colors Matter

As we have established, any jersey can be worn, but it must be paired correctly. Bright colors tend to go well with more subdued accents, so if you’re planning on wearing a yellow jersey, black or gray might be best. Black and white jerseys tend to be easier to pair with accents (trousers, shoes, etc.), but other colors like blue, red, and pink can add a pop of color to the fit.

When it comes to color, the main rule would be to try your best not to wear pants and jerseys of the same color. There are a few exceptions like wearing a white jersey with white pants and a dark jacket, but a good rule of thumb is to keep it simple and use black, white, or gray as accent colors.

Although the jersey is usually the main piece of your outfit, accents will help take your outfit to the next level. Add light jewelry like a statement necklace or earrings to look good, especially when the swimsuit it’s paired with is a little simpler. Jeans can look great in different colors like black, white, or even blue, but again, it’s important to pair them well. When in doubt, go for black or white.

Shoes are another important feature. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, black and white shoes often do the trick, and bonus points to include Adidas Sambas or any classic Puma flat. But with a cleaner, simpler fit, maybe consider a pop of color for the shoes. However, try to steer clear of explicit soccer cleats. It will make you look like a 12 year old.

Wearing a football jersey is supposed to be fun. Don’t worry about which team it is or which player at the back. If you like the jersey, wear it. There are better ways to combine different colors, but whatever, have fun, keep it clean and relax.

Tested: Adidas TOUR360 22 shoes Thu, 08 Sep 2022 01:07:30 +0000

COST: $300.

TESTED BY: Jimmy Emanuel, Golf Australia Assistant and Digital Editor

FIRST PRINTSESSIONS: In terms of golf shoes, the adidas TOUR360 22 was the highest profile launch I can remember. I took part in a virtual session with designers and Xander Schauffele and, although intrigued, I was withholding judgment until I saw them in the flesh.

Once in possession of my size 10, I understood better why adidas was making such a fuss over a shoe…it’s fantastic.

The look is great, they feel like a quality product in the hands, and once in place the TOUR360 22 was just awesome. My feet were locked in but comfortable, walking was a pleasant experience and the grip was very good.

HOW THEY PERFORMED: The mention of looks above is obviously subjective when it comes to shoes, but to expand on what made this pair stand out, the TOUR360 22 blends athleticism and classic better than many other models produced by adidas in the past.

Previously a traditional golf shoe wearer, these days something more modern catches my eye but I find myself somewhere in between. This shoe is right there, with the leather upper and wider forefoot from above they look quite traditional, while the sole design modernizes it considerably. And that combination is why I think the fit is so good.

The leather hugs and molds to your foot, while the “BOOST” sole components feel like a sturdier running shoe.

The “locked in” feel is exceptionally stable when walking and swinging the club, combined with soft yet solid comfort. Right out of the box it did and I was confident enough to walk straight to the tee without fear of blisters or discomfort.

Over time this level of comfort has increased and I have to point out how much I liked the collar and tongue elements. Well padded without taking up too much space, the shoe’s tongue allowed me to find my preferred fit without the laces feeling like they were putting pressure on the top of my foot.

The feeling of being well supported is combined with the feeling that the natural shape of your foot is adapted. As Sam Snead liked to do, there’s nothing quite like hitting golf balls barefoot, and while that’s still an issue in terms of dress codes, finding a shoe that lets your foot be your foot is important.

Traction is the other key aspect of a golf shoe’s performance, and here the TOUR360 22 really stood out.

Some friends of mine have recently suggested that they don’t think golf shoes and the traction they provide are of any benefit, well, two of my most recent games have seen friends slip during downswing which resulted in disastrous blows. Not me when I wear them.

The molded soft spikes are nice and seeing how long they last will be worth watching, but adidas’ reasoning for being able to create different shapes and sizes for location makes sense, and the feeling of ground connection is improved . I also loved seeing the center taper in the spikes which is exactly the style Tour players with metal spikes choose in what is apparently a “greener” friendly option. That little middle piece might not look like much, but anyone who wore the old spikes knows there was no ground connection like the metal spikes did, and it does the job wonderful recreation.

I wore golf shoes from almost every brand in every style on the trip, and it takes a lot to seriously impress and they did just that. And to find one for everyone, there is a wide range of colors, to which are added the BOA models that diversify the range. Perhaps adidas’ introductory work wasn’t so much hype as excitement.

ADIDAS SAYS: The first TOUR360 ushered in an era for what has now become the brand’s flagship shoe franchise. The TOUR360 22 marks the next chapter.

After nearly two decades of developing and improving this original TOUR360 model, adidas is back to the beginning; adopting that same risk-taking mindset that ultimately led to the creation of this first model.

With the TOUR360 22, the primary goal was to re-examine how the company addresses two critical areas that are important to golfers of all skill levels: fit and traction. To achieve this, historic models from the TOUR360 were consulted, as well as brand archives from other categories for inspiration.

From the ground up, the TOUR360 22 is built on a “Feet You Wear” shape, serving as the foundation for the new “TOUR360 FIT”, while the new direct-injected “SPIKEMORE” traction system helps golfers stay locked in and increase their confidence with every swing. This is the first time in golf that adidas has included these features.
